Chris is the CEO and founder of AskChris.
Chris has a Masters degree in Counselling from Auckland University. She has also completed a 2 year psychotherapy course, and 2 papers through AUT on online counselling and psychotherapy.
Chris’ areas of interest are relationship difficulties, depression, abuse, eating disorders and issues arising from a difficult childhood. Chris has been a therapist for over 15 years, and loves to see and be a part of the personal growth and healing her clients experience within counselling.
Chris has 2 married children and 4 grandchildren.

Ann Lake Ann Lake 
Ann first became involved in counselling in 1994 when she took an introductory counselling course in Hawaii.  She went on to staff the schools and eventually led as school leader.  Her duties included developing areas of behavioural accountability for students, running of student development groups, and counselling staff and students in a multicultural environment. 
Upon returning to New Zealand Ann completed a Diploma in Counselling in 2000 and currently works in private practice.  Her areas of clinical specialities are: workplace bullying, parenting, grief and loss, depression, couples, physical, emotional and psychological abuse, relationships, and divorce recovery.
Along with Ann's private practice, she also works as an Administration/HR Manager and company director of a medium size business.
Ann is also mum to 3 young adults.



 




Pauline Ogilvy Pauline Ogilvy
Registered Psychologist (B.A., M.Ed (Hons) Dip.Ed.Psych., Dip Tch. Dip. BCNZ)
Pauline is a graduate of the University of Auckland.  She has experience in working with a wide range of clients with differing needs.  She currently works part time at Triple P / Healthy Families Ltd and formerly worked at Group Special Education (MOE) where her role primarily involved working with children with special needs and / or behavioural issues.  Pauline provides coaching in family interventions to parents and caregivers, and presents informative parenting seminars.  Pauline is experienced in assessing and providing individual therapeutic client work with children, parents and caregivers.  Issues such as: young children's sleeping problems; tantrums; stealing; parents separating; school and or learning difficulties and risky teenager behaviour are but a few of her clients concerns.  She also provides support for parents struggling in their relationships, or with their own sense of stress, anxiety or depression.
Pauline is married and has three children of her own.



Deborah Prideaux Deborah Prideaux
Deborah is a Life Coach who has experience in working with many people in a variety of life situations.
She currently has a private Career Coaching practice where her focus is on working with people who have reached a point where they are questioning if this is what they want to be doing for the rest of their lives. She is an Associate Certified Career Coach (ACCC).
Her own work experience ranges from volunteer organisations to the corporate world.
Deborah is passionate about helping people discover who they really are and working with them to integrate that knowledge into everyday life. She is certified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) which is a powerful tool in helping people understand themselves and others.
Deborah has recently completed a Diploma in Organisational Psychology (DipOrgPsych) and is currently furthering her study in Life Coaching. She is a member of CCN.
Deborah is married with 3 adult daughters, 1 teenage son, 1 son-in-law and 1 brand new grandson.



Linzy Dowman Linzy Dowman
Dip Couns BCNZ MBACP MAPSCC                                                        Linzy’s counselling interests and subsequent qualifications originated out of her personal desire to learn insights and truths for her own life.
She attained her Diploma in Counselling (3 years) at BCNZ and is a member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and The Association for Pastoral and Spiritual Care and Counselling. Due to a loss of ‘secure relationships’ in her own childhood, she has a passion to work with Child Development and utilises her qualifications and experience with Attachment Theory. She is currently (and practically) supervising the raising of identical twins and enjoying working alongside their parents in helping to establish secure attachments within the family unit.
Linzy also,has an empathy and understanding of depression, grief ( related to personal relationship losses and problems) physical and mental abuse, and addictions.
She is also qualified in issues related to Narcissism, Trauma, and Sexual Abuse.
Linzy’s personal hobbies have included breeding and showing dogs, the performing arts, sports (tennis, rugby) and reading books about psychology.
She currently lives in the UK as her father’s companion and carer.


Steven Dromgool Steven Dromgool
Masters in Counselling (Massey University), Bachelor of Leisure Studies (Waikato University), Certified Personal Trainer (University of Witwatersrand, SA), MNZAC
Steven is a professional counselor with a specialist interest in men’s issues in relationships. He is a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, an accredited Family Court Relationship counselor and an ACC-registered sexual abuse counsellor. In addition Steven is a contract therapist for a number of EAP organizations providing work-related stress-management counseling. He has previously worked with the SAFE Network as a therapist working with adolescent sexual offenders. Steven is married and has two daughters who he has been privileged enough to care for as a part-time house dad. He is a professional student and is currently finishing a postgraduate diploma in Theology. Steven’s passion is to see clients empowered to embrace and enjoy life to the full.


Jeremy Le Comte

Jeremy Le Comte
Graduate Diploma in Counselling; MNZCCA (provisional)
Jeremy has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Unitec, a Bachelor Applied Theology from Carey Baptist College, Certificate in Community Work (AUT), Certificate in Pastoral Care and Refocusing Therapy.
He is currently the student rep for NZCCA.
Jeremy is our youth specialist at AskChris. He specialises in therapy with young people, having many years experience dealing with relationship issues, self-esteem, depression, stress and family issues relevant to youth.
Jeremy also works with clients who have domestic violence concerns, religious issues and pre-marriage counselling. Jeremy is married and enjoys reading - both novels and comics, juggling, enjoying the sunshine and watching League in his spare time.

Rebecca Langridge
Rebecca manages the administrative side of the AskChris website.  She has been pivotal in the set-up and establishment of AskChris and it is Rebecca who you can contact in the event of any difficulties arising from using our service.   Rebecca is married with 3 children.           Email her at helpdesk@askchris.co.nz

   

The service provided by AskChris is not intended to be viewed as psychotherapy, and it would be inappropriate to compare it to traditional face-to-face counseling.  However it does help a person address issues that are concerning them in their lives.
