All AskChris professionals are committed to maintaining the privacy of your communications with them.

 

When you use AskChris your question is assigned by the administrator to a therapist who is skilled in helping people with the type of issues you have mentioned.  This enables you to work with our most qualified therapist for your needs.

The therapist will not be given your email address, and will know you only by your chosen username which can be your Christian name or simply a name you have chosen to use for this correspondence.  The therapist will also see your broad location details (e.g. country of residence), your age, gender and ethnicity.  The only reason for this is so your therapist can more accurately know your situation and provide you with something that is more suited to you.

 

The AskChris therapist will not be able to email correspondence to your personal email address, and no correspondence other than that through the AskChris website will be entered into.

 

All AskChris therapists have external supervision as well as internal AskChris team supervision.  At no time during these sessions, if your sessions are discussed, will your screen name be mentioned nor will any specific places or other people’s names be discussed.

Any details discussed will be disguised sufficiently to guarantee your anonymity.

 

If however, at anytime your safety or the safety of others is at risk, privacy will be wavered in order to maintain everyone’s safety.

 

In the event of safety risk, we would immediately consult another professional, usually our supervisor, as well as working with you to help you access appropriate support.
